• A brief background summary of events leading up to and including the public meeting related to Bronte Meadows redevelopment have been posted on the main menu.
A notice to announce the new Bronte Meadows website was delivered to neighboors on the bordering streets of the park. Hopefully word of mouth will spread to others in the neighbourhood.
• Received an email from town landscape architect Lisa Vandervliet to inform me that the report I submitted on Wed had been received. Her email indicated that the team intends to present three concept design plans for the community to consider at the next meeting on Oct. 24. I requested information from her about the nature of the future process concerning the finalization and implementation of the concept design plans.
• After reviewing online sources concerning the redevelopment of parks in Hamilton I think I have found a theme for the website: “Striving to make and active park a neighbourhood asset”
• Also uploaded the statistical results of the neighbourhood survey which I conducted and posted it in the main menu bar.
After a late night on Oct 2, I finally finished calculating the results of the responses to the neighbourhood survey. I submitted the neighbourhood report to the town on Wed. afternoon Oct 3rd. Best way to inform people of the results will be to create a website and place a flyer about it in neighbourhood mailboxes. This will take a few days. I viewed the town’s website to get more ideas of content I could use to provide a background about the park plans, ie. redevelopment objectives.
